<p>Bobs Hair Company
was opened in August 1985 by Roberta & Robert Kneller. Their objective
was to establish an upmarket totally professional hairdressing service
which would not normally be found outside large cities. The corporate theme
was to achieve a striking look that would reflect the very high standard
of hairdressing, be practical, hygienic and very individual yet not become
intimidating. The salon was an
immediate success and soon after the Company opened its barbershop. </p>
<p>During
the following years the company reputation spread far beyond the town boundaries
and the name Bobs became synonymous with quality and all that is forward
thinking in the profession. In 1992 Bobs again
expanded the salon - taking over the unit next door. This step gave the Company
the space needed to further develop and improve customer service. The premises
in Abbeygate now consisted of a Technical salon, a Styling salon and a Barbershop.
The complex was officially reopened by Anthony Mascolo of Toni & Guy.</p>
<p>In 1999
Bobs once again extensivly refitted the entire salon, creating a stylish
salon image for the new millenium.The Company runs a proven in-depth training
program and believes in encouraging the team to develop their personal potential
to the full. A new dual purpose Training School / Photographic Studio has
been opened which will further enhance creativity and standards in the industry.
Bobs now enjoy photographic work coverage in all the trade and consumer Hair
magazines as well as magazines such as Elle, Marie Claire and GQ. In 1998
New Woman magazine listed Bobs in their ultimate guide to the best hairdressing
salons in the UK. </p>
<p>With many plans to engage in Hair shows, magazine work,
photography and the Bobs Training School the Company is truly committed to
remaining at the sharp end. Roberta Kneller walked away with the top Tigi
award at the TIGI eXcel conference 2002 in London. Roberta also won the prestigious
Master Hairdresser Award at Tigi's annual event. The task set the entrants
was to produce a contemporary, client focused look which echoes current hair
fashion and show the world what they could do!Top prize was a photo shoot
with Anthony Mascolo, the results of which were displayed on the Front Cover
of the popular Hair & Beauty
Consumer magazine. </p>
<h2>Roberta Kneller - Artistic Director</h2>
<p>Leading the
Bobs artistic team, Roberta's reputation is built on a solid foundation of
experience, technique and genuine flair. Roberta has been 3 times Grand Finalist
for Eastern Hairdresser of the Year in the prestigious British Hairdressing
Awards. Roberta has represented Bobs in shows, exhibitions & seminars both
in the UK and Japan. Roberta's
Photographic collections, created each season, show dynamic, strong, "leading
edge" shapes which have become instantly recognisable and eagerly awaited
by the Worlds Press!... </p>
<p>The collection, entitled "Frayed Angels" shot
for last years British Hairdressing Awards Finals. shows Textured shapes/Bias
Cuts with Ragged edges and looser directional finishes.. Roberta
predicts that colours will be stronger and concentrated with movement making
a strong "comeback" for
next season..... Roberta
also enjoys passing on her skills - training young people and has brought
many through to become extremely successful stylists of whom she is very
proud. </p>
<h2>The Bobs Artistic Team</h2>
<p>The group is made up of exceptionally talented & committed
members of the Bobs Team. Their inspiring photographic work has been featured
in various magazines across the UK, Europe, America, Australia and the Far
East. The Artistic team give excellent service and advice to Bobs
clients and also use their skills to help educate and motivate other key
members of the Bobs team. They are also involved in frequent seminar and show
work. </p>
